The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT) conducted a two-day induction programme for 42 new recruits appointed effective 1 January 2026, following their successful completion of the Foundational In-Service Training. The programme provided an overview of the Ministryโ€™s vision, mission, and strategic priorities under the 13th Five-Year Plan (FYP), ensuring that the new officials are well aligned with MoITโ€™s mandate and national development goals.

The recruits have been placed across various departments and agencies under the Ministry, including:

  • 5 Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA);
  • 1 Bhutan Construction and Transport Authority (BCTA);
  • 5 officials with the Department of Human Settlement (DHS);
  • 3 officials with the Department of Air Transport (DoAT);
  • 18 officials with the Department of Infrastructure Development (DoID);
  • 1 official with the Department of Surface Transport (DoST);
  • 2 officials with the Secretariat
  • 7 officials posted across various Dzongkhags, Thromdes and Ministries.

The induction programme concluded with the awarding of Tashi Khadar as a token of welcome, symbolizing the Ministryโ€™s warm reception of the new recruits into the MoIT family.
