As Bhutan transitions to a low-carbon and climate-resilient development pathway, guided by the 13th Five-Year Plan and the 21st Century Economic roadmap, it becomes imperative for urban and rural settlements in the country to integrate low emission strategies and energy efficiency measures into building codes, regulations, and practice.
In light of this transition, the Department of Human Settlement with support from the Asia LEDS Partnership (ALP) is organizing a 2-day virtual training series on ‘Building HVAC Sizing and Optimisation’, scheduled for 12th and 13th October 2026. The session aims to enhance regulatory understanding and technical capacity of government officials, academia, and practitioners in Bhutan to review, question, and evaluate HVAC design submissions and building energy performance claims, with a balanced focus on regulatory/approval requirements and practical engineering application.
Hence, the Department is pleased to invite interested professionals from private and corporate sectors with relevant backgrounds to participate in the aforementioned training.
