Engineering Services Division
The Division is focused on ensuring that buildings are designed and built in compliance with standard code of practice for safe and comfortable habitation and conserving traditional Bhutanese architecture. Furthermore, the Division is also responsible for promotion of high quality, cost-effective, environmentally friendly building infrastructures and adoption of new and appropriate construction materials and technologies.
Our Directives
Project planning, Design, Construction & monitoring of irrigation projects (both lift & gravity irrigation system).
Adopt innovative/cost effective technology for irrigation.
Develop technical standards & guidelines for irrigation.
Develop and maintain Irrigation Infrastructure data.
Provide technical backstopping for irrigation related infrastructures to the local government and other agencies.
Assure Quality infrastructure & Compliance.
Budget & Financial Management of the irrigation projects (Budget utilisation).
To assist the availability of irrigation water for land conversion.
Collaborate & liaise with relevant agencies.
